What is General Surgery?
General surgery is a discipline based on the principle of repairing diseases that cannot be treated with medication or other medical methods through surgery or healing by cutting out the diseased organ. The Department of General Surgery, which has different fields of study, cooperates with units that have expertise in different subjects such as oncology, endocrinology, traumatology. General Surgery, which is one of the most frequently used areas of new generation medical applications, is a treatment system in which robotic technology is also used intensively and successful results are achieved.
Oncology patients constitute an important part of General Surgery patients. Tumor formations that may occur in different parts of the body are eliminated in cooperation with General Surgery and doctors specializing in the area where the relevant organ is located. The diagnosis and treatment methods of oncology patients are planned and applied simultaneously by the specialist doctors of General Surgery and the relevant department.
